Are you an autistic adult/adult with a diagnosis of ASD? Are you interested in contributing to a better understanding of how to parent autistic children/children with ASD well?
Have you always wanted to tell your parents things you wish they knew about ASD?

Thank you for your interest in our study. Recruitment for this project has now closed.
The purpose of the study is to obtain feedback from autistic adults/adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on their childhood experiences of being parented, and to investigate relationships between childhood experiences and current experiences. Specifically, we are examining relationships between lived experiences of being parented (as a child) and social, emotional, vocational and educational outcomes. This study is being conducted by Ms Sarah Lee as part of the requirements for the Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland, under the supervision of Dr Koa Whittingham (Clinical/Developmental Psychologist & Research Fellow, UQ) and Dr Amy Mitchell (Registered Nurse & Research Fellow, UQ).
We understand that there are different views about the best way to describe autism, with some people preferring condition-first language and others, person-first language. We feel that it is important to use language that our participants are comfortable with, and we’ve done our best to use both types of language throughout.
