The purpose of the study

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between something and something else. This research is being conducted by Joe Blogs as part of the requirements for the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology degree at the University of Queensland under the supervision of Dr Smart Fella.

Eligibility criteria

Participants must be female and over the age of 17 years to take part in this study.

What the study involves

Participants are asked to fill out a series of online questionnaires regarding their somethings about things. The surveys are straightforward and able to be easily completed.

Participation and withdrawal

Participation in this study is completely voluntary and you are free to withdraw from this study at any time without prejudice or penalty. If you wish to withdraw, simply close the browser. If you do withdraw from the study, the materials that you have completed to that point will be deleted and will not be included in the study. It is anticipated that participants will need up to 1 hour to complete the questionnaires. Where relevant, students will receive 1 course credit for signing up to the study.

Risks

Participation in this study should involve no physical or mental discomfort, and no risks beyond those of everyday living. If, however, you should find any question or procedure to be invasive or offensive, you are free to omit answering or participating in that aspect of the study.

Confidentiality and security of data

All efforts have been made by the researcher to ensure that data collected in this study will be stored confidentially and only members of the research team will have access to identified data. Identifying information taken for the allocation of course credit will be kept separately, and cannot be matched to your survey responses. All data will be coded in a de-identified manner and subsequently analysed and reported in such a way that responses will not be able to be linked to any individual. The data you provide may be shared with other researchers, however will only be used for research purposes.

This study has been cleared in accordance with the ethical review processes of the University of Queensland and within the guidelines of the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research. I understand that the results of the study will be reported in this thesis and journal articles; however, I will not be identified individually.
