Do you have a teenage child aged between 11 and 17 years of age?
Are you interested in supporting them to be healthy, happy and able to reach their potential?
Would you like practical tips on dealing with emotional behaviour and how to encourage your teenager to better manage their emotions?
We’d like to invite you to take part in new research exploring the relationships between parents and adolescents. This project aims to look at how parenting behaviours and practices influence the parent-adolescent relationship and the implications for adolescents’ well-being and mental health.
As part of the study, parents can participate in a free 2-hour parenting discussion group based on the highly successful Teen Triple P (Positive Parenting Program). The group is designed to provide parents with strategies to understand and support their teenager in dealing with difficult emotions.
This research project will help us to better understand the role of supportive parenting in positive adolescent development.
