How to Participate

If you agree to participate in the study (as outlined in the About the study page) please click the ‘I Agree’ button below.

• I understand the conditions of the experiment and give my informed consent for myself to participate in this study.
• I consent to publication of these results understanding that the information published is anonymous so that no identification can be made.
• I understand that any information obtained from this research will be kept strictly confidential. After data has been analysed and the study published. I understand that the research team will remove any coded data that allows my data to be re-identified, and then the collected data will be indefinitely stored on a data repository.
• I understand that participation is completely voluntary and that I am free to withdraw from the experiment at any time, or have my data removed after participating in the study, but prior to the study’s publication.
• I understand that should I wish to remove my data after participating in the study, I am to contact a member of the research team (as above) via e-mail with my unique identifier that I will create at the beginning of the study. The research team will re-identify and remove my data using this unique identifier.
• I understand that, at the end of the survey, I will be asked for my email address, which will be connected to my unique identifier for the purpose of receiving the study link for the Time 2 survey in three month’s time. The email address will not be connected to data collected through the survey.
• I declare that I am at least 18 years of age OR a student at the University of Queensland.
• I agree with the above statements and hereby give my consent to participate in this study.
• I understand that this research adheres to the Guidelines of the ethical review process of The University of Queensland and the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research. I have been provided with contact details of the researcher, as well as UQ Ethics Coordinator.
